Bonfire Product Updates - Issue #8

Happy Monday, and welcome to issue #8 of the Bonfire weekly product update!

If you're just joining, this newsletter goes out weekly (as long as we have something important to say) and highlights new product features, cool use cases we're seeing from around the community, and the occasional drop or giveaway. You can find our past issues here.

This week's update is a bit briefer than usual, and you may have noticed we also took a week off last week... these are both a result of some larger efforts underway that we're extremely excited to share with you soon! Stay tuned 👀

Product Updates

  • 👜 Wallet View: Coinholders can now view their entire portfolio of assets (coins + NFTs) directly from any Bonfire page when logged in, by clicking the profile widget in the top right corner

  • 🏆 Member Profiles + Showcase: Member profiles are now live! Every community member now has a profile page, where they can curate a Showcase of their favorite creator coins (amount redacted) and NFTs (example). Let your community know they can now now flex their fandom!

  • 🖼 NFT Holders: You can now view a list of all NFT-holders from the Community tab in your dashboard. We know that more coinholder CRM features are high on many of your wishlists; respond to this email and let us know what info you need most!

Best Practices Around Automated Transfers & The Escrow Wallet

Last week we noticed an uptick in suspicious activity around automated bounties (follow/referral) and public airdrops, so we wanted to highlight a few best practices on using these features safely:

  • Be mindful of where you share airdrop links

  • All airdrops & bounties require an expiration date/time, as well as a total cap; we recommend being relatively conservative in how you set these parameters (e.g. if you're doing a drop during a 1-hour livestream, set it to expire at the end of the livestream, not a week later)

  • Next week we'll also be launching the ability to (optionally) token-gate your airdrops, so that only community members already holding a certain amount of you coin (or an NFT) are able to claim them

  • Generally speaking, we recommend keeping just enough in your escrow account to cover your active campaigns (there's really no benefit to leaving more in the escrow than necessary)

As always, don't hesitate to respond to this email with any questions, feedback, or feature requests!

Until next time,

Bonfire Team
