👀 Creator CRM: Know your collectors

gm, and welcome to issue #35 of ✨Spark✨ It’s def a good morning for us. Daniel Allan’s public launch on Bonfire was a huge success. It sold out in less than 24hrs netting just over $100k in primary sales for the project and it’s already done 20.6 ETH (at the time I’m writing this). That’s impressive. We’re mostly relieved everything happened without any major hiccups. No bugs. No attacks. 100% approval rating 🥲 Reach out if you wanna work on your own custom contract and mint page!

Bonfire Product Updates

New Studio Menu

This week we began rolling out our new dedicated Bonfire Studio menu! This update gives Studio its own dedicated menu and navigation within the dashboard, which we believe will be a more scalable architecture as we integrate new features and capabilities into Studio over time. Next week we’ll begin rolling out the first couple of these new features: starting with Page Templates and more Styling options!

We know this update comes with some substantial changes to your experience using Studio, so we’d love to hear from you with any/all feedback and questions so we can continue to iterate and improve the UX. In addition to the above, next week we’ll also be shipping a bunch of small improvements based on the feedback we’ve already gotten thus far! Keep it coming 🙏

Creator CRM MVP

This week we also shipped a major upgrade to the Community tab, what we’re deeming the Creator CRM. You can now import any Ethereum or Polygon token into Bonfire, and view/manage all of your collectors in a single place. You can view a table of your collectors from any imported contract, click into any collector to see which of your tokens (and how many) they hold, view which of your Bonfire campaigns they’ve participated in, and even download a csv of collector wallet addresses (for example, to use it as an allowlist for your next drop 😉).

You can import tokens by going to Settings → Tokens, or by clicking this link; and here’s a fuller guide on importing your tokens to Bonfire. From there, just go to the Community tab in your dashboard to see the fruits of all your community-building labor!

Pro Tip: If you’re using the Email Collection block in Studio, we’ll ask your fans to connect their wallet before submitting their email, and include the email in their collector profile in your dashboard.

Custom NFT Drops (Powered by Rampp)

Setting up an NFT drop from your own custom smart contract, powered by our partner Rampp (a no-code custom smart contract builder), is now live in beta - let us know if you’re interested in piloting this feature with us, and we’d be happy to get you whitelisted and setup with the feature. In the coming weeks we’ll be rolling out this feature more broadly, and stay tuned, as even easier ways to drop NFTs through Bonfire is coming soon… 👀

Creator Spotlight

Last week we talked about Daniel Allan’s Glass House launch, made with a fully custom contract and mint experience on Bonfire, but this week we’re going to break down key things he did to sell out in less than 24hrs.

For the past month, Daniel’s been working non-stop to bring attention to his project. He’s played several live concerts, participated in lots of twitter spaces, recorded podcasts, and posted every day on social media. It paid off to keep the momentum going. He had been so loud that everyone knew about Glass House. He announced the project many times and had a few stages to the mint. First the free mint for a select allowlist, then presale, and finally the public mint. All of this helped him keep the buzz alive, and tomorrow will be the highly anticipated reveal party, which will only generate even more attention.

During the public mint, he kept an eye on transaction volume and caught something that only gave the project more credibility. Diplo, the Diplo minted. This of course brought in way more collectors.

So what’s the moral of the story? It’s important to acknowledge the herculean effort that goes into doing an NFT drop. The art matters, but so doesn’t the whole marketing push. And even when you think the work is done, you’ve got to keep pushing. You never know what tweet will sway the crowd into aping in.
