Bonfire Product Updates

👤 Profile Block

On Monday we rolled out a new Profile Block to the CMS, which allows you to add your creator profile (the same profile section we show by default on every creator homepage) to any CMS page.

Migrating our Hero & Profile sections into Bonfire Studio as blocks is part of a larger effort to migrate all parts of your Bonfire site into the Studio, which will allow for full customizability of all pages on your site.

Creator Spotlight: $RISE

Mark Schaefer is a well-known marketing thought leader who quickly adopted web3 and understood the potential for launching his own social token, $RISE. He recently wrote a post on de-stigmatizing the idea of self-publishing your own book. Here’s an important passage for all of you brave enough to do things your own way.

"In my contract with McGraw-Hill, I received a royalty of about $1.50 per book. Depending on the format, I can now make as much as $12 per copy by self-publishing my books. Of course, when I self-publish I have to pay for the book design, cover, marketing, etc., but my break-even period for each book has been a couple of months. I also have complete control over the price of the book. I can change the price by country. I can provide discounts and bundle my offerings. I could never do that through a publisher.”

Tip of the week

We highly recommend using the Email Collection block feature as this will help you capture the email addresses of your community members. From there, you’ll be able to get in touch with them directly in their inbox. So next time you have a big launch or exciting news, you know your fans will see it instead of being drowned out by hundreds of unread messages on discord or social media algorithms.

Email generates $42 for every $1 spent, which is an astounding 4,200% ROI, making it one of the most effective options available. Here are a few other email stats that’ll blow you away.
