đ Going from web2 creator to web3
gm, and welcome to issue #19 of â¨Spark⨠We got more of them goodies made just for you. During some calls with creators, we started to realize that many of you are still just starting out in web3 and need a little more support before getting your feet wet. So hereâs a guide on going from a web2 creator to web3 (for non-crypto natives). We feel very strongly that these guides should not be interpreted as âplaybooksâ â this is web3, to hell with playbooks. These will be part of our âExplorebooksâ (working title...send in other suggestions). Watch this space as we build out this series. Read âem, and make âem your own.
Itâs Firesides this Friday. You know the drill. Come hang, ask questions, co-work. The floor is yours.
Bonfire Product Updates
Itâs a bit lighter of a week on product updates as weâre currently testing a few larger features internally before beginning to roll them out next week.
đ Support for New Platform Embeds
Next week weâll be adding embed support for a handful of our most frequently-requested platforms - if thereâs a platform youâd like us to look into adding support for, let us know here and weâll try and make it happen:
Shopify: This will enable you to embed individual products and even entire product collections, including the checkout flow, directly into Bonfire pages. This will make it much easier to offer token-holders early or exclusive access to merch, and even let you charge in USD from your Bonfire page; and all streamlined via your Shopify backend
Eventbrite: Embed events, including the checkout flow, into your pages. This allows you to offer token-holders early or exclusive access to events, and even lets you charge in USD directly from a Bonfire page (Note: we already support lu.ma, which also has native support for token-gated events)
Calendly: Embed your calendly into a token-gated page so that only your token-holders can book time with you. (Note: we already support cal.com, which also has native support for token-gated events)
Typeform: Embed surveys, polls, and info collection forms directly into Bonfire pages (Note: we already support Google forms)
đ Creator Showcase
In the coming days, weâll also be debuting our new creator showcase on our website, highlighting creators using Bonfire to unlock greater utility around their tokens and transform the way they engage with their community.
Weâll be pulling from some of the most exciting communities and use cases weâve seen on the platform, but respond to this email and let us know if youâd like to be included, or if youâd explicitly like to opt-out.
Creator Spotlight: Greg Bresnitz from $CRNDO
Weâve interviewed Greg Bresnitz, the creator behind $CRNDO community and Crescendo! Podcast, a show dedicated to pairing music and food. Each episode has one of the worldâs best Chefs creating a 7-course meal, pairing each dish with a song, to talk about culinary / audio connections, how their food is inspired by music, and other behind the apron deep dives. Season One just dropped earlier this year, with live pairing events taking place all over the US throughout the year. Check it out and learn more about Gregâs web3 journey.
