⛓ More support for L2s

L2s on our Collectors Block, Decent partnership & Daniel Allan's $1M fundraise

gm, and welcome to issue #64 of ✨Spark✨

Midst difficult times, here’s some good news — we’ve removed our 5% platform fee for native NFT Drops meaning you can now create a new drop directly from your dashboard and keep 100% of what you earn. Sounds appealing? Click here to create a drop.

Today we're talking about:

  • Support for L2s on our Collectors Block

  • Decent partnership

  • Daniel Allan's $1M fundraise

Product Updates

⛓More Chains: This week we rolled out support for more L2s on our Collectors Block. If you’re not familiar, this block is used to display a collection’s list of collectors. Traditionally, this block only supported Ethereum, but now you’re welcome to import your contracts on Polygon, Optimism, Base (Testnet), and Gnosis and display your collector's rank. Give it a shot and let us know your thoughts.

Coming Up Next

Rolling up in beta we have one of our most requested and highly anticipated updates. We’re partnering with Decent to bring creators a more intuitive, unique, and streamlined way of using both platforms. Can’t say too much, but soon enough you’ll be able to use some of our best features with contracts natively deployed on Decent. Stay tuned, it’s coming sooner than you think 👀

Creator Spotlight

Daniel Allan has swept us off our feet, again. Yesterday he announced that he closed a $1M seed round led by Coop Records and Palm Tree Crew Crypto. The round is a pioneering effort at building a creator’s brand as you would a startup. “It’s a C-corp that owns my IP along with all my streaming, touring and web3 income. Investors receive equity which gives them exposure to all aspects of my career,” he writes. What this means for Daniel and the next wave of creators only time will tell but we are definitely excited to see the inspiration and impact this generates over the community. The blueprint has been laid out.

Tip of the Week

Borrowing from Blockchain Brett, before you ask your community to mint your work, why not let them listen to it or view it first? Give them the chance to fall in love with your upcoming drop and then choose to mint. You can do this on Bonfire by uploading a file using the audio block, or video block and then drop it using the NFT Drop feature. If you don’t wanna share the full project, cut up a snippet of it so that your fans can at least have a taste.
