🆕 Repurposing the FAQ Block
gm, and welcome to issue #37 of ✨Spark✨ If you haven’t heard yet, our team is growing! Charlie Crown, a web3 musician has joined us in our efforts to best support creators. We’ve asked Charlie to test the product to its limits, come up with cool use cases and help us create practical guides from someone with years of hands-on experience making music and building in web3. Give him a warm welcome on Discord or Twitter and feel free to reach out to him for help.
Bonfire Product Updates
(Requires Action) Tweak to FAQ Block
We’ve made a small tweak to the FAQ block, so that the block itself no longer includes the hardcoded title “FAQ” in it; however, you can of course use a Heading block to add back the title, as “FAQ” or any other title you’d like!
This update was inspired by feedback from a creator where they shared that they wanted to repurpose the block to be a list of upcoming community events, which we think is pretty rad! The only thing holding back that use case (and numerous others) was the fact that we required it to be called an FAQ, which seems a little silly… so we fixed it!
TODO: If you’re currently using the FAQ block, you’ll want to go into the Studio and add a Heading block above your FAQs, with whatever you’d like to label the FAQ block as.
Studio UX Improvements
We’ve also made a slew of other small improvements to the Studio UX, focused around minimizing friction and speeding up your workflow:
Clicking on any block now opens the settings menu for that block, and clicking on empty space on your page will open the Blocks menu to add a new block
Click to add blocks (or keep dragging) - clicking on a block in your Blocks list now adds it to the bottom of your page without needing to drag it. Dragging still allows you to drop a block into a specific position
Improved focus state
Fixed a bunch of minor bugs
And much more to come here.
Other
Increased audio upload file size limit to 50 MB
We now support all ERC-1155 contracts produced on Rampp for NFT Drops
Improved performance for images - we’ve moved all of images to a dedicated media server, so image loading should be snappier for all images going forward
Creator Spotlight
We really love how Mashi builds engagement with his community by sharing the spotlight. Last season he created a giveaway and contest for anyone ready to remix his music. And this season, he’s about to start new community initiatives that will welcome fans to drop live sets (perform or DJ), host a radio/playlist hour, or get featured on the Mashibeats discord server.
Keep an eye on Mashi here.

Why you should offer Free NFTs
Tip of the week
Defining what utility you want to offer your tokenized community can be a hefty task, especially as we're all still uncovering use cases for NFTs and social tokens across different industries. While fans might find it nice to know what to expect from tokens they claim or purchase, it’s alright to not have a predetermined roadmap with specifics. There are advantages to keeping token utility mysterious, such as surprise and delighting your holders. The last thing you want to do is promise something you are unable to deliver.
